Every time I think about 35 years I am caught in disbelief. How can 35 years have passed so quickly? It seems like yesterday but at the same time, so long ago. Mostly, what I see when I visualize the last 35 years are faces. The faces that have touched my life both personally and professionally over the years. I think of the hundreds of staff that we have employed over the years as well as the thousands of clients who have crossed our paths. So many of these individuals were an answered prayer, with many still employed with us today.
It’s easy to look through pictures and remember the stories. Thousands of little moments that come together with laughter, smiles, tears, celebrations, milestones, births, and even deaths. Many of us have been together so long we visited each other in the hospital when their children were born and now those children have since graduated college and moved on.
However, even now when I think of a successful company, I often forget to think of my own. Not because it is not successful in all the ways you measure success. But because I remember the really hard times as well as the good times. It’s been 35 years of hard work, patience, and perseverance. Nesin Therapy sits as a testament to the hard work and dedication of so many people. I dare say it has even surpassed the vision of Janet Nesin (my mother) and Janine Nesin (my sister, boss, and CEO) and myself. Janine’s leadership and continued drive has made Nesin the company it is today.
I am so proud to be a part of this amazing organization. When I began as a young PT, I couldn’t imagine how my professional life would change. I couldn’t conceive what I would learn that would help me change the lives of so many people. What a blessing. I couldn’t have imagined that Nesin Therapy would bring together so many like-minded individuals driven to make so many people live life better! Here’s to the next 35 years!
