How to Reset Your Posture

Are you sitting at your desk for hours each day? Make sure to take care of your body…while you work! Prioritize your posture while you are sitting. Every hour, take time to reset your posture.

Follow these simple instructions:

  1. Keep your chest down. Shrug both shoulders up towards your ears.
  2. While keeping shoulders up, rotate hands and entire arm outwards (thumbs to the back). Shoulder blades should squeeze together, arms at sides. Avoid arching your back!
  3. Slowly lower shoulders keeping shoulder blades together as they slide down your rib cage. Do not allow shoulders to fall forward as you relax them down and back.
  4. Return your hands to your lap or keyboard keeping shoulders back and down.
